Cross-country skiing
Val di Fiemme is known as the home of Nordic skiing, having hosted three World Championships and the legendary Marcialonga race. In 2026, it will even be the venue for the Milan-Cortina Olympics! There are countless kilometres of cross-country trails where everyone, from beginners to athletes, can try their hand: the Lavazè Pass, the Lago di Tesero Cross-Country Centre, and the Marcialonga trail.

2026 Olympic Headquarters
Lago di Tesero cross-country skiing centre
It has hosted three Nordic Skiing World Championships (Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined) and will be the venue for the 2026 Olympics and Paralympics for this discipline. Every year, it hosts the final stages of the Tour de Ski, one of the most important international competitions in the sector. The slopes of Lago di Tesero are open to everyone and offer technical trails and much more. The slopes are also lit up in the evening on certain days of the week, for a truly unforgettable experience.
Cross-country skiing at high altitude
Lavazè Pass
With its 80 km of trails winding between Lake Lavazè and Oclini, at an altitude between 1800m and 2000m, it is one of the few cross-country skiing areas that can claim such high altitudes and is therefore increasingly popular with national teams for their training. Breathtaking landscapes ideal for enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike to discover a fascinating discipline in contact with nature.

Following the footsteps of champions
The historic Marcialonga ski trail
The Marcialonga is a sporting event that is extremely popular with the inhabitants of the Val di Fiemme. With 70 km of trails between the Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa and up to 7,000 participants, including elite athletes and enthusiasts, the Marcialonga is the cross-country skiing event excellence. The trails are prepared in December and maintained as long as weather conditions allow, and are available to the public free of charge.
